Cervical position
WHAT: The cervix is the opening of your uterus and can be found towards the back of your vagina.
WHY: Checking your cervix can help you become familiar with your cycle because its position and texture will change through the course of your cycle, indicating when you are fertile. Glow incorporates these changes into your daily fertility score.
HOW: You can check it by sticking a clean finger into your vagina while squatting, lying on your back, or standing with one foot on the toilet. Remember, you have to use the same position each time to get consistent measurements. Here’s what you’re looking for:

During fertile times, your cervix will feel soft (like your lips), high, and slightly open to allow sperm to enter. This is your most optimal time to get pregnant.

During non-fertile times, your cervix will feel firm (like the tip of your nose), low, and closed.
